ONESTOP 2019: A YEAR IN REVIEW

As the year comes to a close, we’d like to take a moment to look back on the projects, milestones, and goals that were achieved in 2019. Here at Onestop, we thrive on working together to provide solutions that have a positive impact on our clients’ businesses.

In taking time to examine this year, we can see that while it has been a hectic year, we’ve also achieved and accomplished more than we could have hoped for. In short, 2019 has been extraordinary. Here are a few highlights from the last 12 months.

Crossroads Maldives: Completion

Slider

This year, Onestop was responsible for the successful fitting out of several key sites that underpinned the first phase of Crossroads Maldives. They included the Hard Rock Maldives resort, SAii Lagoon Maldives’ Curio Collection by Hilton, and the two anchoring cafés on the development: Café del Mar and Hard Rock Cafe.

This was a massive undertaking as Onestop’s first large-scale joinery and interior fit-out project. The task of joinery and interior fit-out involved the installation of ceilings, floors, panellings, partitions and furnishings—essential aspects that bring together the design theme of a resort into a collective whole.

Keeping in mind the practical, on-site nature of an interior fit-out job, Onestop went about the project a little differently—taking a hands-on role. For this project, we drew upon three key resources: a decade of expertise working in the Maldives, the manufacturing support of our factories in China and Indonesia, and the strengths of an on-site team. Additionally, we oversaw control at every stage of the joinery and fit-out process: from material sourcing, to manufacturing, logistics and installation—and finally to rectifications.

In the face of challenges, Onestop successfully managed a multinational team to work collaboratively to bring the project to completion.

Introducing the Nusa Collection Outdoor Range

In May 2019, we introduced our new furniture line: The Nusa Collection. This luxury island furniture line offers coffee tables, dining tables, sofas, & more — specially constructed by our craftsmen in Indonesia. The materials offered in the Nusa Collection include solid teak, synthetic wicker, and a variety of outdoor fabrics.

Travel Trade Maldives

Onestop had the pleasure of taking part in Travel Trade Maldives 2019, as we have been each year since 2016. This time, we were proud to have been hand-picked by organizers to exhibit alongside other suppliers in the Maldives.

At our booth, we displayed a range of our works in hotel and resort furniture across the Maldives. We also provided a sample box of our materials for designers to take a look at.

Maldives Corporate Business Expo

This year, we had the rare opportunity to be part of the first ever Corporate Maldives Business Expo, and even sponsored the event as a Gold partner. The expo is focused around learning, networking, and building business relationships.

During the event, we set up a booth where we were able to share information about our customized furniture manufacturing, joinery & interior fit-out, as well as turnkey project management. It was very exciting to be part of an event that is helping to shape the business landscape of the Maldives.

Project Highlights 2019

During the past 12 months, we also completed a number of exciting projects across The Maldives and Pacific Islands. Some of the highlights include:

Lux* North Male Atoll

For this project, Onestop team collaborated with the Miaja Design Group in designing and producing furniture for the residences. With the project ambitiously dubbed “James Bond Island,” Onestop rose to the challenge of delivering pieces that exude a curated luxury while balancing the demands of a humid Maldivian landscape.

The Nautilus Maldives

This luxury resort in the Maldives comprises of 26 beach and ocean houses, each with its own private swimming pool. For this project, Onestop partnered with Aston Design to create a unique concept and one-of-a-kind approach to the typical Maldives resorts. The furnishing and décor combined rustic elements with vibrant colours to champion a new brand of hospitality combining service, amenities, and design.

Showroom in Fiji

We were thrilled to open our first showroom in Fiji. The facility showcases our latest products and designs from both our China and Indonesia factories. The showroom includes some of our signature items, such as synthetic wicker outdoor furniture, unique bedroom furniture set-ups, and more.

Project Highlights 2019

As 2019 is coming to an end, we’d like to say thanks to all who have been involved and also thank you for your trust and support for us this year. We look forward to a new year that brings new challenges and opportunities for all of us.

With that, we’d like to wish a Happy New Year 2020 to all.
